Expect Exceptional Living in Cross Creek West

Expect Exceptional Living in Cross Creek West

You really can have it all when you live in Cross Creek West.

No, that’s not hype — it’s true because Cross Creek West gives you something most new-home communities don’t, a wide assortment of newly constructed homes coupled with established amenities and a lifestyle program that has been years in the making.

That’s because Cross Creek West is a sister community to nearby Cross Creek Ranch. Both Johnson Development communities, Cross Creek West and Cross Creek Ranch are under one homeowners association, allowing residents of each community access to amenities found in either neighborhood. That’s a real advantage for residents of Cross Creek West because its sister community has been under development for more than a decade and boasts multiple parks, sports courts and pools. Let’s look at shared amenities and activities:

Cross Creek Ranch Amenities

Fun near and on the water is prominent in Cross Creek Ranch, which has more than 400 acres of lakes and waterways for kayaking, canoeing and catch-and-release fishing. There’s even a 50-acre Polishing Pond that does double duty as a filtration system for water flowing through the community and used for landscaping, but also a wildlife habitat and bird sanctuary. Bird watchers enjoy strolling the Polishing Pond boardwalk to spy migratory and resident flocks.

It's easy to enjoy more of Mother Nature’s bounty in Cross Creek Ranch, with more than 30 parks and playgrounds that would allow you to visit one each day of the month without a repeat. And it would take more than two months to walk all the trails in Cross Creek Ranch if you committed to one mile a day. Perhaps the prettiest stretch is along Flewellen Creek, a 2-mile stream that has been carefully restored as a 150-acre park. Pet owners are especially fond of the Canine Commons dog park.

During the summer, residents have their choice of pools, with Adventure Island and its 140-foot-long water slide a favorite with young swimmers. A wide variety of sports courts let residents hone their skills in tennis, pickleball, wallball, basketball, sand volleyball, bocce ball, soccer and more. There’s even a putting green and disc golf course.

For the fitness enthusiast looking for an indoor workout, the 6,500-square-foot fitness center offers plenty of opportunities for both cardio and strength training. A dedicated fitness director can help residents reach their goals, and a number of classes — yoga, Zumba, HIIT and more — are offered weekly.

A Neighbor-Becomes-Friends Lifestyle

Making it easy to meet others in the community is a lifestyle team that plans a host of events throughout the year. From gatherings specifically designed to meet your neighbors to events that celebrate the season, residents will find something for all ages. Here’s a sampling of what’s in store in early 2025:

  • Toddler Time, Jan. 8 and Feb. 1
  • Family Recess: Camp Flewellen, Jan. 14
  • Connectivi-TEA, Jan. 16 and Feb. 20

Cross Creek West Amenities

While Cross Creek West residents enjoy access to the fun found in Cross Creek Ranch, there are plenty of amenities just outside their door. The Waterhole is a community hub, offering a clubhouse, fitness center, event lawn and courts for tennis and pickleball. Children run, climb and have imaginary adventures on the playground and cool off among bubbling waterspouts at the water play park, complete with slides. A freeform pool with tanning ledges also helps beat summer’s heat and a three-lane lap pool provides additional opportunities for exercise.

Pocket parks can be found throughout the community, and a network of trails ribbon through the neighborhood. Like its sister community, Cross Creek West also boasts lakes and waterways for non-motorized boating, catch-and-release fishing and simply enjoying life at the water’s edge.
